Grizzly Bear 10 Day Tour :
In addition to our successful four day Khutzeymateen grizzly bear eco-tour this never before offered ten day voyage of exploration is being offered to those who want a longer more adventurous trip. Our four day Khutzeymateen grizzly bear eco-tours still remain unchanged, but for those who want that extra never to be forgotten adventure, this is the trip to be on. Note, all wildlife is in their natural habitat, concentrating mainly on grizzly bears.
The voyage starts in Prince Rupert with the first destination being the Kwinamas river. Here we board the jet powered zodiac and explore the estuary and river. This river is part of the range of the Khutzeymateen grizzly bear. Early day 2 we have a long beautiful cruise between the high steep coastal mountains up Portland Inlet to the long abandoned copper smelter town of Anyox. Now only ruins, you will explore them. This is the spot where one of the worst atrocities man committed against nature occurred. Now closed for over fifty years, grizzly bears walk where men once profited. Day 3, penetrating deeper into grizzly county is a short cruise to the vast, awe inspiring pristine Kshwan River at the end of Hastings Arm. Explore by zodiac and hiking this most remote and rarely seen river eco system, relatively unknown even to locals. After a full day here its off to Alice Arm  and another day of exploring rivers and ruins, then on to Stagoo Creek for river exploring. Day 7 we leave for the Khutzeymateen  arriving
Old growth forests silhouetted by first light.

late afternoon and will spend days 8 and 9 here on a regular Khutzeymateen grizzly bear eco-tour, described in the Khutzeymateen section. Day 10 is the cruise home with salmon sports fishing at Work Channel for those who so desire, arriving in Prince Rupert around supper time.

The trip cannot be explained in words, but has to be a photographers and amateur naturalists dream. A book could easily be written about this area.

Several Voyages are planned for this season. Dates can vary depending on bookings, or can be arranged to meet your schedule. There will be a maximum of five guests per tip.
